Getting your child to Preschool every day and on time can be complicated.

If you live in the City of Dayton or the Dayton Public Schools boundaries and sign up for the Star Attendance program, you are eligible to receive $25 per month on a Preschool Promise Award Mastercard.

What are the rules?

When you sign up, you'll receive a Preschool Promise Mastercard with $25 already loaded. Each month that your child attends 90% or more of the time, we'll load an additional $25 to the card.
Attendance rates will be calculated based on the number of days your child is scheduled to be at Preschool. This schedule will be set at the start of the Preschool year or at the time of enrollment.
Payments will be made upon meeting the attendance requirement. For example, if your child meets the 90% target in September you will receive payment by the third Friday in October.
You may use your Preschool Promise Mastercard everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted.
The funds loaded onto the card will be available for 18 months after the original card is issued. After that date, any unused funds will be forfeited.
If at the end of the year, your child has been enrolled at a Preschool Promise program for at least 6 months and your child's overall attendance is 90% or better, your family will receive an extra $100 Star Attendance bonus at the end of the school year.

Because this program is funded by the City of Dayton, only Preschool Promise families living in Dayton or in the Dayton Public Schools district are eligible for the Star Attendance Program.
